Inaugural Gold Coast Italian Festival

Pratten Park in Broadbeach on the 26th to 27th of March 2016

The first Gold Coast Italian Festival will be held at Pratten Park in Broadbeach over the Easter weekend, on 26-27 March 2016.

Developed by the same team behind Brisbane’s Italian Week, the new Gold Coast event is an extension of the much loved festival that was launched in 2007.

Visitors will have the opportunity to taste Italian food and wine, while enjoying music, family entertainment and an exciting display of Italian cars.

Street stalls will be serving everything from wood fired pizza, traditional pastas and delicious gelato, to Italian wines coming from many of the country’s regions.

"We really want to bring an Italian-style street festival to the Gold Coast that gives festival goers a chance to try some real Italian street food. Our intention is to offer a chance to try things our grandmothers made", says festival producer, Alessandro Sorbello.

He adds that the Gold Coast Italian Festival also aims to promote Italian culture and highlight the influence it has had in Australia.
