Italy's other MAJOR crisis

News from Italy

Unthinkable, but not impossible. Why? Did you know that in China there is a town called Parma?

Well, yes. It was reported to the Italian Government on the 1st of December, near Beijing in the province of Gansu, that there is a town called Parma, where companies were ready to produce ham to be marked as "Prosciutto di Parma DOP", without legally violating any Law, as the name of the place of production is "True".

Fortunately, this tricky toponymy was quickly foiled by the Italian Embassy in Beijing. However, the damage of the counterfeit food industry to Italy amounts to more than $85 billion per year, including false Parmigiano Reggiano DOP and Tomatoes San Marzano DOP, plus much more.

Protect the products of both Australia and Italy and stay aware of the Made in China poor quality products. After all, you are what you eat.
