For Italian Made, there is no greater honour than to see such a young and passionate member of our family and network be crowned for producing the world's best pizza STG (EU Classification - Traditional Specialty Guaranteed) in Naples, Italy - the motherland of pizza. Andrea Cozzolino from Zero95 in Melbourne has not only made himself, Zero95 and all of his family and friends around him proud; but also us here at Italian Made. Together with Andrea as ambassadors of Italian Cuisine, the preservation of traditions, authenticity and genuine simple flavours of the Bel Paese are essential. Andrea provides this to Doncaster, Melbourne and Australia; and is now famed for his traditional pizza in his home city of Naples and throughout the world. Saluti Andrea, congratulations - Tantissimi auguri guaglio, sei forte! From the champion himself, this is what Andrea had to say:

"For those who do not know me, I would like to introduce myself. I'm Andrea Cozzolino, Winner of the Caputo Trophy for Neapolitan Pizza STG at this year's 15th Pizza Chef World Championship in Naples, Italy.

That evening, as always I felt very happy, because I finally made one of my dreams come true. I simply believed in myself and with so many sacrifices, I accomplished what I always wanted. I can thank a large part of myself for this result yet on the other hand; I have to thank my family and all of the people who have always believed in me. Big thanks goes to my big brother and business partner Ciccio, every day we share our passion and love for pizza together in our pizzerias. I also want to thank the Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani and its president Sergio Miccù. Thank you to all of the people that have spent so much time in organising and preparing Napoli Pizza Village. I most certainly thank Phillip Bruno from Scoozi in Melbourne, Australian President of the Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani, you are a great friend with a big heart and lots of passion and love for pizza. I thank the Caputo family for exporting their flour all over the world and giving the possibility for young people like me to make a beautiful product even if I'm 24 hours away.

I want to let you all know that even If I am the Winner of the Caputo Trophy at this year's Pizza Chef World Championship, I will always feel like a humble down-to-earth person with a very big hunger to learn more and more, continuously improving myself.

A big hug to all of my friends, I hope to see you again soon. I love pizza and I love the city I was born in - My Beautiful Naples."
